Flow SUP Co. was founded in 2013 and Kela, who purchased the company last year, got into the business after enjoying going out on her own SUP board. She rents out boards at local lakes and is able to switch up locations thanks to her van: "It's mobile, so we can go anywhere," she said. Kela also runs a hot yoga studio in Eldridge called Backwards Yoga.

If you haven't heard of stand-up paddle boarding, or SUP, before, it's basically like standing on what looks like a surfboard and navigating the water using a long oar. It's a great workout and although it can seem intimidating, Kela offers a short orientation to help customers feel comfortable.

In addition to renting out paddle boards at area lakes, Kela teaches yoga classes on paddle boards and leads guided water excursions that are great for people of all experience levels. "I love paddle boarding and am also certified in SUP yoga, so I teach yoga classes out on the water," she said. "West Lake is perfect for yoga because it's shallow and we can go back in a cove and not worry about boaters." She said that her SUP yoga classes are great for people of all yoga experience levels.

Rentals start at $20. You can learn more and reserve a spot on the company's Facebook page or by texting or calling 563-349-1446. She also offers group rentals, so if you have any family visits or events this summer, keep this in mind!

Thanks to Kela for chatting with me! Keep an eye out for Flow's upcoming classes and more on Facebook.
