St. Patrick's Day in the Quad Cities: Our Festive Picks!
Spring is finally in sight, or at least St. Patrick’s Day festivities are! The Quad Cities doesn’t mess around when it comes to celebrating St. Paddy’s Day, and here are some of the highlights that’ll shamrock your holiday.
The Grand Parade XXXIV
The parade is the pinnacle of Irish festivities in the QC for good reason. For those who need to brush up on their roman numerals, this bi-state parade is celebrating its thirty-fourth year, and it involves all the best of entertainment, with floats, marching bands, dancers, and more. It’s a great way to kick off your St. Paddy’s Day, as you can join the tens of thousands of spectators dressed in lime and chartreuse and line the streets of Rock Island and Davenport to get in the spirit of the holiday.
The parade is March 16th at 11:30 am, and it begins in Rock Island.

Armored Gardens St. Paddy's Patio Party
Looking for St. Patrick’s Day stop for the whole family but also want to enjoy some Irish-approved brews? We get it; it’s St. Patrick’s Day. Well, make your way to Armored Gardens in downtown Davenport. The kiddos can enjoy bounce houses on the patio and magic tricks while you can enjoy the extensive drink menu.
Doors open at 11 am on March 16th, with the magician there from 1-4 pm!

St. Patrick's Day Crafts at Main
Want to get creative? Bring the kids to the Davenport Public Library after the big parade ends for some St. Patrick’s Day arts and crafts! Themed button and sticker making is on the agenda, along with other activities.
The crafts will run from 12:30 pm to 2 pm on March 16th.

Kelly's St. Patrick's Fest at Front Street Taproom
The Fest is back at Front Street Taproom in the Freight House Farmer’s Market, and it promises to be better than ever. Touted as “Iowa's largest St. Patrick's Day Festival,” you’ll be able to sip Front Street’s quality beer and rock out to music from AC/DC, 80’s Hair, and Jason Aldean cover bands among other local favorites. You’ll also get to see performances from Mayer School of Irish Dance. An eclectic mix of entertainment? Perhaps. But it’s bound to be a green and groovy time that’ll get you in the spirit.
The festivities begin on Friday, March 15th at 5 pm and continue on Saturday, March 16th at 10 am.
