    • We generally stay in 3-star hotels or nicer, but sometime we may stay in private homes that we will have to ourselves for the tour

  • All fees for scheduled activities and attractions

  • Transportation between cities in a comfortable, clean van with a shared wifi hotspot for you to stay connected throughout the trip

  • Help with arranging your trip to the United States, including tips on visas, flight bookings, and advice if you’d like to extend your travels to the U.S. before or after the tour

  • All meals and drinks (except breakfast) unless stated in the itinerary. So, 8 dinners and 9 lunches.

    • Prices vary, but you can expect to spend an average of $7-14 for lunch, $12-20 for dinner, and $3-9 for a drink in a bar. You'll have plenty of options to choose from, so no worries about any dietary restrictions.

  • Your transportation to and from Chicago for the tour

  • Transfer to accommodation in Chicago

  • Any visa and immigration fees

Additional notes:

  • This tour is open to those who are 21 years of age or older. 

  • A $300 non-refundable deposit is required to hold each spot. The balance is due 21 days prior to the start of the tour. If you choose to pay in full now, the entire tour price, minus the deposit amount, is refundable until 21 days prior to the tour, after which the entire price is non-refundable. Bookings are transferable, meaning that if you unable to go on the tour, you can transfer the booking to another person at no additional charge.

  • Each guest must provide proof of health insurance that is valid in the United States.

  • If needed to account for unforeseen circumstances, the tour itinerary and destinations are subject to change at any time.

  • Those who book 2 or more tour spots in one transaction are eligible to receive a 5 percent discount and should book through the Group section of the reservation portal. Returning altSTATES travelers should email in order to receive 5 percent off rather than booking through this portal.

  • All accommodations are double occupancy, meaning that you will share a room with another guest of your choice. If you wish to pay extra to have a single accommodation rather than a shared room during the tour, please email for more information rather than booking through this portal.

  • Because it's the primary language spoken in the part of the U.S. that we'll visit, the entire tour is conducted in English. To ensure the best experience, we only recommend this tour to those who have a good understanding of English.

  • By booking, you agree to our extended tour terms and conditions and must sign both this document and our waiver and release of liability.
